Hello everyone!
We're looking for someone who's able to take point on food preparation for Entanglement, and since we're planning to do it differently from other RFR games I wanted to include some more details with this call:
1) We'd prefer this person be a staffer. They can be a temporary staffer, they can be a plotwriter (or not), they can choose to keep to the kitchen the whole event...but we would like to avoid using players to run the kitchen if possible. Other staffers (and potentially player volunteers) will probably help out with kitchen shifts. If you are a player and excited about doing meal planning at the same time, though, we won't say 'no' to you, but keep everything else in this post in mind.
2) We intend to have "short order" style food, not set mealtimes, so players and staff can come in anytime (when the kitchen is open and staffed) and get a sandwich or similar quick food. There will probably be a standard menu for the entire event, with maybe a "special" on Saturday evenings, or "also eggs for breakfast." (Exact menu planning would be flexible.)
3) Meal planning will mostly be, a couple days before the event, figuring out how much of the various ingredients to get, based on the number of attendees and their food restrictions.
4) Meal prep will mostly be a trip to Costco (or such) on Friday afternoon, right before the event. This could be done by you, or handed off to someone else if you want to arrange that.
5) The food budget will scale with the number of players, and we expect it'll take us an event or 3 to pin it down exactly.
We are not looking for a long-term commitment for this position. If you're able and interested in doing this for an event or two, that's still extremely useful, and we'll work with you to preserve whatever stuff we figure out from those events to make sure the next person doesn't have to start from scratch.
