> **Guide to Worldbuilding:** When you "zoom in" on a part of a world, you can find an ever-increasing amount of detail. For example, you might write more about a single town than was written about the region, which in turn may be more than was written for the whole nation. This kind of writing can also be "fractal," meaning each new depth you write to only uncovers deeper and more numerous things which could be written. Worldbuilding is never "completed" by going into greater detail; indeed, the level of detail keeps accelerating instead of decelerating.

> When in doubt, make the world less homogeneous, not more — feel free to create a cosmopolitan city in the midst of a region of fishing villages, or write a fishing village amongst urban surroundings, for examples. You don’t need to "double down" on what was written before — avoid making parts of the world into caricatures.
